We all know that being a mum is far from easy. In fact, it's downright stressful. So when May and Mother's Day roll around and we get a chance to give back, what better way to show appreciation than by helping to get rid of some of that stress.

Hot stone massage
A massage is one of the best ways to get any of that nasty excess tension out of our bodies and really relax. There are countless techniques out there, but one of the best is a hot stone massage. In case you're not familiar, this approach utilises smooth, heated rocks that are placed on the body in specific locations.
Although the process is relatively new to the mainstream (gaining popularity in the 1990s), its lineage can actually be traced back to antiquity. According to Massage Magazine, the technique may have been around for as long as 2,000 years!
Hot stone massages have all the benefits of a regular treatment, but there are a few extra reasons that make it a great option. The main point of difference from a regular rub is the presence of heat. The warmth from the stones relaxes the muscles and allows the therapist to get deeper into the tissue without having to use too much force.
