Golf Lessons & Tuition with PGA Head Professional, Aung Myint Htwe

Aung came to Australia at the age of 18 from Myanmar, with very limited English and aspirations to become a professional golfer, oblivious to the journey ahead. Months of lessons, homesickness, new foods and a different culture, cold Melbourne weather and difficult beach training sessions, Aung soon learnt that the journey to professional golf was a long and hard one.

It was soon after this that he began his tertiary education, which included a Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science at Deakin University followed by the PGA of Australia Trainee Program (now referred to as the Membership Pathway.) Upon the completion of the Trainee Program, Aung became a member of the PGA Australia and a professional Golfer, taking a role at Mornington Golf Club as a Golf Professional.

We are excited to now welcome Aung, as Moonah Links Resorts new Head Professional. Aung is dedicated to teaching the great game of golf to new golfers, whilst also fixing existing golfers’ slice or hook!
