Tucked away in Mornington’s industrial estate, Commonfolk serves mouthwatering blends that rival the best Melbourne has to offer. The wide-open warehouse space serves as a community hub incorporating recycled wooden benches, communal tables, and an open roastery area that continuously sends fresh coffee aromas through the air.

Merchant & Maker
Lodged between the tourist totems of Rosebud and Dromana, McCrae often gets overlooked. But this historic hamlet — the site of the Peninsula’s oldest lighthouse — holds a little gem on its bayside promenade. Merchant & Maker, a coffee-focused café and bar.

Laneway Espresso

Montalto Vineyard and Olive Grove
Montalto produces finely crafted Mornington Peninsula wine with the real character from 6 vineyard sites across the Peninsula. The range of vineyard sites provides a great natural diversity of fruit and wine style that is important in making interesting and complex wines. This is showing in wine results, with the estate holding the top red five star rating in Halliday’s Wine Companion as well as numerous trophies and gold medals at national and international wine shows.

The chef’s hat rated Montalto Restaurant is imbued with a provincial spirit, from a personal greeting at the front door to the food on the plate in front of you. Food is inspired by regional France but anchored in the fresh seasonal produce of the estate and region. Floor to ceiling windows takes advantage of the breathtaking and rambling rural outlook of vines, olive groves, sculpture, lakes and wetlands, with pasture, and a hint of the ocean as the backdrop.

The adjoining piazza offers simple, tasty food with wine enjoyed in a garden or courtyard table setting. Selected sites within the property are available for elegant, fully catered outdoor picnic dining, ideal for a romantic lunch or unique experience.

Our bar allows guests to drop in for a drink and selection from the bar menu, whilst the bistro offers a full menu including plates of the day and dishes for children. Maître d’ Graham Kinsey and restaurant manager/head sommelier Jacques Savary de Beauregard have set high standards of service, defined by The Age Good Food Guide as polished, but in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
