For many, weddings are the most special occasion that will ever happen in a lifetime. They are a magical affair, where two people who love each other beyond the shadow of a doubt come together with a host of family and friends to celebrate their unyielding commitment to each other. At Peppers Moonah Links Resort we understand this, and strive to make our grounds as unique and dreamlike as the event itself should be. We offer an abundance of picturesque locations set amongst ancient rolling sand dunes, ideal for ceremonies, photographs and receptions.
Close by but feeling miles away
Moonah Links Resort is located on Victoria's breathtaking Mornington Peninsula, right next door to Melbourne. The state capital's city centre is just over an hour away, and the international airport is not much further than that. The peninsula itself is lavished in gently rolling hills and surrounded by Philip Bay on one side and the Bass Strait on the other.
Whether you want a small, intimate wedding celebration with just your closest family, or you want people from all corners of the Earth to come and join in the fun, Moonah Links Resort can cater for you and up to 150 of your guests with ease.
Your wedding in paradise
The unique, immaculately cared-for design of the resort provides an abundance of natural wedding locations. You can choose to be married on the manicured Ceremony Lawn, or take your celebrations to spectacular garden surroundings.
These also make for excellent photographic locations as well, meaning you won't need to travel elsewhere to get your weddings snaps. This saves both time and money.
A stylish reception
We offer an array of reception venues at the resort. If you like the idea of somewhere indoors, book your event into one of our Executive Lodges, located in the newer sections of Moonah Links. Each of the three choices showcase raised views of the surrounding green lawns and even house 12 of their own private accommodation rooms. They are great for smaller functions of up to 80 guests.
Alternatively, you could take your reception to the great outdoors and celebrate in the permanent Executive Marquee space. This down-to-earth event area is surrounded closely by a natural landscape and points in a westerly direction so guests can enjoy the pristine Victoria sunset. This area can host a larger capacity of up to 150 guests, with the option of extending to hold 200.
Moonah Links' Pebbles Restaurant is also on-site to cater for you and your guests, offering modern Australian culinary creations using only the freshest Mornington Peninsula produce. Does a medium rare pepper-crusted beef fillet served with exquisite bearnaise sauce sound like a great idea? Followed, of course, by a tantalising chocolate mouse, blood orange sorbet and Red Hill strawberry coulis for a sweet ending to the day.
Stunning Mornington Peninsula accommodation
We would be delighted to arrange accommodation packages for you and your guests. Accommodation comprises of 92 stylish guest rooms and suites, each with stunning course-side positions looking out to natural undulating landscape views.
Our Open Rooms overlook the first championship golf fairway from our famous Open Course. The bathrooms feature deep spa bathtubs with rain showers, and the room itself is open-planned and boasts either a king or twin-sized bed.
The Moonah Rooms rest at the edge of the 18th fairway along the Legends Course. They have their own TV with FOXTEL and free-to-air channels, as well as an ensuite bathroom. If you're not viewing a game of golf from the balcony or terrace, you could also relax alone on a king-sized bed, or with a friend on two singles.
Lastly, each of our One Bedroom Suites has its own open-planned kitchenette to accompany an alfresco dining terrace overlooking the golf course. Though they have an attached bedroom with king-sized bed, you can also include a fold-out couch to support additional guests, or combine it with a Moonah Room to add an extra bed.
We also offer a variety of ceremony and reception packages designed to incorporate all requirements of your special day, making sure it's as memorable as possible.
For starters, our ceremony package is flexible and can accommodate a variety of options. We offer seating, with the option of chair covers and coloured sashes, as well as an aisle way red carpet for the bride to walk down. If a PA system is needed, that can be provided too, as can 'Just Married' golf buggies to transport you and your new spouse to whichever location you choose for photos.
As for the reception itself, you can select from three different levels of deal, each offering a range of celebration essentials at varying prices. The Ruby package is our most affordable, followed by Sapphire and Diamond. These deals include every facet of a wedding banquet you could dream of, from canapes to multi-course plated meals. Beverage deals are included in each, allowing you to select from a range of beers and wines that can be served for up to four hours.
A venue is complementary with each package, as is a 4.5-star honeymoon suite for the bride and groom, including full buffet breakfast and midday checkout.
