Everyone likes a bit of shopping while on vacation, so when you're enjoying your holiday in Victoria<\/a> you might be interested in exploring some of the quirky and curious antique outlets located on the Mornington Peninsula. Whether you're a life-long antique collector or just looking for a unique gift or souvenir from your trip, you're sure to find plenty of interesting trinkets as you dig your way through the shops' collections.<\/p>\n

The main destination for antique-seekers is Tyabb, a half-hour drive from your accommodation at <\/a>Moonah Links resort<\/a>.<\/a> The Tyabb Packing House antiques complex houses over 30 specialist antique dealers in a 7-acre property, one of the largest antique complexes in all of Australia. The collections here cover everything from old and retro toys, cameras and jewellery to one of Victoria's biggest assortment of collectable books. With parking space for up to 300 cars, there's plenty of room should you plan on picking up a few bigger and bulkier items.<\/p>\n

A little closer to Moonah Links is The Factory Antiques Market, found in Dromana. Celebrating its fifth year running  in 2015, the market hosts 20 different stallholders, selling everything from classic Australiana and vintage clothing to antique tools and outdoor furniture. The on-site cafe is a great place for a break from rummaging through the retro goods.<\/p>\n

If your interest in antiques is of a more motoring kind then a trip to Charlie's Arthurs Seat Auto Museum is a must. Located on Purve's Road, 1.5 kilometres from Arthur's Seat, this collection of over 80 classic vehicles, memorabilia and paraphernalia stretches back decades. Genuine petrolheads will be in their element.<\/p>\n

Spending an afternoon browsing through some of these antique hotspots is a nice way to see some of the peninsula and do a bit of relaxing shopping, without the hustle and bustle you'll encounter in some of the busier shopping areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
